Our Program

Music-Based Intervention (MBI) is an innovative approach to mental health and emotional regulation that integrates elements of music, psychology, and neuroscience. Through sound, rhythm, melody, and singing, it helps individuals achieve emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, stress reduction, and self-awareness.

Unlike simple music appreciation, MBI emphasizes the role of music as both a “tool” and a “channel”:

  • It not only brings pleasure, but also activates the brain and regulates the nervous system.

  • It promotes emotional release and cognitive transformation.

  • It supports individuals in finding new balance and strength during times of psychological difficulty.

Scientific Basis

Research has shown that:

  • Music affects brain activity — Rhythm can modulate brain waves, and melody can activate the limbic system, influencing emotions and memory.

  • Music connects with the autonomic nervous system — Beats can synchronize with breathing and heart rate, helping to reduce anxiety and lower stress levels.

  • Music enhances neuroplasticity — Long-term use of music interventions can improve the brain’s ability to regulate emotions and strengthen attention control.

Areas of Application

Music-Based Intervention is widely applied in:

  • Mental health: alleviating anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia

  • Emotional regulation: improving self-awareness and emotional management

  • Education & child development: fostering emotional intelligence (EQ), focus, and creativity

  • Family relationships: enhancing communication and closeness

  • Clinical rehabilitation: supporting pain management, PTSD, and age-related cognitive decline

Advantages

  • Natural & non-invasive — no medication required; healing through music alone

  • Highly accessible — no musical background needed; open to everyone

  • Emotionally direct — music bypasses language barriers and touches emotions and the subconscious directly

  • Integrative — can be combined with CBT, mindfulness, breathwork, and other therapeutic practices for enhanced results

What is Music-Based Intervention (MBI)?

Meet Christine Seng – Founder, EQ Specialist & Music-Based Therapist

With over 20 years of experience as a performer and music educator, Christine Seng has witnessed the profound ways music can move people—emotionally, physically, and psychologically. An award-winning classical vocalist, she spent years captivating audiences worldwide before turning toward a deeper calling: understanding how music can help people heal from the inside out.

Now a certified neuroscience coach and cognitive behavioral therapist with a Master’s degree in Psychology, Christine is at the forefront of grooming Emotional Intelligence (EQ) through music-based therapeutic programs. Her work focuses on how rhythm, voice, and sound can be used as powerful, science-backed tools to help children, teens, and adults regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and strengthen psychological resilience.

Christine draws on her unique dual background in the performing arts and behavioral science to design accessible, non-invasive, and joyful approaches to mental wellness. Through her programs—Sing & Soar, AMPLIFY, and Resonance—she is redefining how emotional intelligence is taught: not through lectures, but through music, story, and guided self-expression.

Christine believes that music is not just art — it is medicine. Her approach is grounded in research yet deeply human, offering safe, creative, and non-invasive pathways for people to connect with themselves, regulate emotions, and rediscover inner strength.

Through her programs, retreats, and speaking engagements, Christine’s mission is simple yet powerful:

To help people of all ages find calm, confidence, and connection through their own voice.
